How Many Jump Rings Can A Bench Chuck Chuck?

Oh so many... I love this thing. It makes quick work out of cutting fiddly jump rings and links. It saves your fingers for sure!

This is genius! It makes cutting jump rings very easy. It comes with three split mandrels. I have tried many different ways to hold a coil of jump ring while cutting them with my saw. I don’t always want to use my flex-shaft to cut the jump rings with the device that came with my jump ring maker. This bench chuck with split mandrels is the best method for me.

I have only one issue with it. I wish it came with with a full set of split ring mandrels that match the sizes in my jump ring maker. I tried cutting 20 gauge rings with an 8mm inner diameter on the largest split ring mandrel that were included. It was more difficult because they moved around. It’s perfect when the coil of wire matches the mandrel.

I wish Chris offered a full set of split mandrels to go with the Bench Chuck. I would be his first customer to purchase them!

What I’ve Been Looking For

This is the best jump ring cutter. I’ve been periodically making chainmaille for over 20 years. There are other jumó ring holders for sawing the rings, but this is by far the best ever and so easy to use. If you cut a lot of jump rings (some of the chains I make have thousands of rings) you need this to saw them.
