The Purple Puncher

I love these Purple Punches! My metal maintains any texture I add and they don’t leave tool marks either. Surprisingly strong for a thin wooden dowel that I’ve hammered the heck out of and there is still plenty of life left in the first one I took out of the pack. Thank you for creating functional simple tools at an affordable price point.

The punches arrived in a timely manner, though encased in a large cardboard mailer for which I paid $8.50 (!) in shipping. Really?? The reasonable price of $12.50 for the sticks was compounded by the shipping!
More importantly, TWO of the lovely purple heart sticks were rounded but still rough; the dome was rough as well as the dome collar, which was splintered. I will need to sand these two sticks before using as these flaws will surely mar my bezel. I expected better from LPF.
** UPDATE: Lion Punch Forge immediately responded to my original post (above). With an apology for the two sticks that were defective, they are sending me two replacements, postage paid. Indeed, postage rates have risen across the board, which I understand, LPF is mailing the 2 replacement sticks in a small box. THANK YOU. LPF, for your prompt response and fair resolution.

Purple Heart is such a beautiful hardwood, and the purple punchers take perfect advantage of that beauty and make it functional! It does the job without marring the metal. Thank you, Chris!
