Precision laser cut from 6Al-4V (Grade 5 titanium) Grade 5 is the most commonly used Titanium worldwide. Grade 5 is alloyed with 6% Aluminum and 4% Vanadium.
The physical properties of Grade 5 make it a perfect material for use when soldering jewelry components.
Titanium is pretty selfish when it comes to heat. Areas exposed to flame will get nice and hot but thermal transfer to other areas is limited. This means that the normal heat sinking you may have witnessed with steel, aluminum, copper, brass, and even silver doesn’t happen to the same extent.
